Intensive Outpatient Program in Cincinnati

Our intensive outpatient program in Cincinnati is the ideal starting point for almost all clients seeking outpatient opioid rehab centers. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Resurge Recovery meets regularly throughout the week and provides care that is more thorough and structured than our traditional outpatient program. In IOP, you’ll participate in a set of weekly groups, individual therapy, and other treatment activities. IOP is flexible and gives clients time to return to activities like work, school, or home life while getting support from our treatment team and doing intensive healing work.

Some clients attend IOP at Resurge Recovery after completing an inpatient rehab program elsewhere. However, those able to manage cravings and other symptoms outside of IOP treatment hours also attend our IOP frequently without ever attending an inpatient rehab facility. When we give you or your loved one facing opioid addiction an intake assessment, we’ll help you determine an ideal starting level of care for you.

Outpatient Program in Cincinnati

Our outpatient program in Cincinnati is most ideal for those transitioning out of IOP. When you use a step-down approach from IOP to our traditional outpatient program, you can make a smoother transition out of a higher level of care and get adequate support along the way. Outpatient clients continue receiving therapy, learning about themselves, working toward a long-term and sustainable recovery, and rebuilding relationships, among other goals. However, this level of care is far less intensive than IOP, with a lower time commitment per week.

Signs of Opioid Addiction

People who take opioids may experience mood swings, euphoria, tiredness (including “nodding off”), and gastrointestinal symptoms, like constipation. Opioid addiction or use can cause overdose, death, and other severe health effects. Using opioids can also lead to financial and legal problems, loss of housing or relationships, and other serious consequences.

Knowing the signs can help you identify opioid addiction and seek treatment for yourself or someone you care about. Here are some common signs and symptoms that indicate a need for opioid addiction treatment.

  • Needing to use higher amounts of opioid drugs than before to achieve the desired effects or “high” (increased tolerance)
  • Illegally obtaining opioid drugs (e.g., buying opioids on the street, doctor shopping, or forging prescriptions)
  • Continuing to use opioid drugs despite adverse physical or mental health effects
  • Continuing to use opioid drugs despite adverse effects on interpersonal relationships caused by drug use
  • Using opioids in dangerous ways or situations (e.g., before driving a car, mixing opioids with alcohol or other drugs)
  • Physical or psychological withdrawal symptoms upon reducing or discontinuing the use of opioid drugs
  • Being unable to stop or reduce opioid use, even if you want or intend to
  • Taking opioid drugs in higher doses or for longer than initially intended
  • Drug cravings (a strong desire to take opioid drugs)

Opioid rehab centers like Resurge Recovery can help you or your loved one avoid further consequences of using opioid drugs.
